Perry Removals local town of Ware is the site of one of the very oldest settlements in Europe, dating back to the Mesolithic period of pre 4000bc.
It derives it's name from "weirs" -..a waterfall built in Anglo Saxon times to stop invading Vikings in their longships.
It has been a coaching town on the Roman road Ermine Street which runs from London to Lincoln along the route of the Old North Road. Ware Straddles the river Lee, and the bargemen of Ware were entitled to "The Freedom of the River Thames" as a reward for their assistance in transporting fresh water during the Great Plague of 1665. Famous sons of Ware include actors Nigel Hawthorne and Brian Wilde. Perry Removals have worked in most streets and villages around the area including at Hanbury Manor, Sacombe House and for the major employer in the area Glaxo Smith Kline.
